I joined the website Distractify.com as one of the first contributing writers.
We built an audience of tens of millions during the listicle boom in media. After a year, we acquired funding, and I became an editor for a talented team of ~10 writers, eventually signing on as cofounder and leading development of our original video content.
Today, the website is still a popular destination for entertainment news, and in my humble opinion, more readable than Buzzfeed in some ways (who we considered our biggest competition).
